The pink carpet of petals is magical, isn't it.
We are a few days behind you here in Oita.
I am glad for the chance to see Himeji Castle Park thru your photos. My favorit hanami spot where I live is Oita Castle Park.

Yes, Joanne. I don't think 'magical' is too strong a word.. We have a flowering cherry tree back home (in Cherry Gardens, believe it or not!), but I wasn't prepared to see them as the main part of the landscape across the whole country.
