Contrary to the view in Australia, many people here seem to love whales - and I don't mean to eat. Few people here (at least the ones I speak to) like whale-meat. Many who've tried it say it's very strong and oily. I wouldn't know - I won't touch it on principle. There's quite a high level of support here for conservation, including whales.

day 54
Tight fibres & Crazy crustaceans.
The cute logo enticed us to read the hand-written menu outside the teppanyaki café in downtown Himeji. We'd already decided to boycott the place around about the whale meat. But the sole with fresh fats in tight fibres got us licking our lips, and would the prawns be dancing for our artistic entertainment or our sado-masochistic pleasure?
