day 316 - out & about in Fukiya

Kaki (persimmons) drying in the sun.

The Back Garden.

Pine and cedar weatherboards were made more insect- and weather-resistant by scorching the surface.

Just one momiji (Japanese maple) leaf.

Perhaps the Japanese equivalent of Virginia Creeper or Boston Ivy?

Maples on Main Street.
Very old trunks. Very young leaves.

Deserted House.

Hello..I was just bloghopping and came across your blog regarding Japan! Do you work as a teacher there? I've been dreaming of teaching there one day. :)

Absolutely, Dans.
If you want to know the whole story, you'll have to go back to Day 1!
