day 320 - yet more autumn & see ya Reg & Pat...


Multifarious!
Still on the Taishaku River. No colour-enhancement here - it really is a gorgeous gorge!

Tree on Fire!
Interestingly the kanji character for autumn (aki) is the character for 'tree' (nogihen) combined with 'fire' (hi), which is very poetic.





Under the Bridge. 
We hiked to Onbashi, a natural limestone 'bridge' - supposedly the biggest in Japan - spanning the Taishaku River.





Goodbye, Reg & Pat (who've already left Japanese autumn and returned to late Adelaide spring.) See you back in Oz...
